BEHIND THE LENS

Chris Yancy is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. Chris attended Alabama A&M University and received his bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications.

 

In 2009, Chris befriended an aspiring model who's career was stifled as a result of her inability to obtain model work because of her "darker skin complexion." 

 

Chris’s compassion for others lead him to began his photography career to ensure that models of all shades and physiques will always have a platform for which to pose and a company that is always willing to work with them.

Chris is also the founder of Chris J Yancy, LLC., which is an Atlanta-based branding firm  that offers premiere branding, photography and videography services.

 

Chris has over 10 years of experience and has worked with various entertainers in the music & entertainment industry such as Money Bag Yo, Keke Palmer,  Next, Xscape, 8-Ball & MJG, Jennifer Holiday, Micah Blue, Lil Baby, Black Youngsta, Deelishis, Marvin Winans, Jr, Viktory just to name a few. 

 

 the Southern Western Athletic Conference as a freelance photographer. He has has also worked with the likes of VH1, CBS, BET, MTV, Alpha Male Visuals, Pencil Worx Branding Group and the Animal Planet.
